Adopt-A-Box - 61 Boxes En- Route to Myanmar

Dear Frens,

Our Adopt-A-Box Project for Myanmar has been a Success!

An idea to Pack and Share what we have with the poor in Myanmar! A gift of love from our families to theirs!

It’s a great way to send love to a country that is currently going through a tough political crisis. Sharing our blessings is a good way to reach out to let our brothers and sisters in Myanmar know they are not alone nor forgotten.

Thank you all your wonderful and generous participation. Special thanks to James Koh, Teresa Chia, Christina Chua and Andrew for their countless trips they made to collect and drop off items plus sharing the plight of the poor to their friends and family to ensure that the project is a success.

Many Thanks to Lena Tan, Jenny Yeap, Frances Chua, Winnifred Wee, Han Ai Ling, Sheryl Tan, Diana De Rosario, Mandy  Chua, Francesca, Christina, Hilda Kang, Annie Soon, May Tan, Marina Ong, May Tan, Gerry Tan, Kwee Mui, Venetia Ng, June Lee, Cindy Tan, Mrs T.W. Ong, Priscilla, Lillian Ho, Michelle Voo, Derek Chua, Angie, Joan, Theresa Goh and all others who have helped in great and small ways.

My deep felt thanks also go out to Christina Tay for the heap of brand new toys, June Lee for the hundreds of T-shirts, Pauline from Sowell for the children's uniforms, Teresa Chia for collating and buying new books for the Nazareth's new library, Calvin Tay from Campus Corner and John Lee from Coldwear for the winter items that will be life saving when Dec and Jan comes along in Anisakan.

I also thank my mom for allowing me to make a big mess at home for months and will still be messy till all 61 boxes are packed and sent. Behind the scenes the unsung hero Cristina R. Giron for helping me to pack every single box with endless love for the poor.

Thank you all again and we pray that every thing we have sent and everything we will be sending, Jesus will use it to bring hope, love and joy to those receiving it.

Your in Christ,

Mill

The Miracle of 237 Tents

237 Tents Arrive for the Homeless in Cambodia

A logistical nightmare that God has helped at every step of the way and delivered it safely to the slums in Cambodia

40 pallets of 50kg per tent. Total of 237 tents was given as a gift to be donated over a simple lunch. In this case between long time friends Jerina and Kelvyn.

This is the essence of what Project Kyrie is about. Not everyone need to leave their jobs and careers to do acts of love for the poor. We can all constantly keep an eye and a ear open for things and opportunities that can alleviate poverty anywhere in the world.

Within 20 days this huge shipment of tents managed to get picked up, stored , shipped and safely arrive in Cambodia at the Don Bosco school. If anyone has done shipments to Cambodia, it’s nothing short of a miracle!

We thank all at Charis for helping us to push through and support the delivery of this shipment. Without Charis saying Yes, the people at the slums would not be able to receive these 237 shelters today.

We thank John Lee for his contacts for the ground logistics & free shipment.

We thank Linus, Mervyn and team for being the glue to hold this project together for us. We thank Steven & Team for storing 40 pallets till shipment.

Most of all we thank Jerina and Kelvyn for having the poor in their minds and having generous hearts in the middle of a busy work day. Friendships become even more spectacular when together we can help others along the way.

At every step we see the Holy Spirit motivating and inspiring us to say yes and getting it done together.

The tents are now in Cambodia at the Don Bosco School. We thank Salesian sisters for saying Yes to do the work of Christ. Special thanks to Sr Jessica and Sr Charlene who will be distributing the tents to those who are in need of it most.

All Glory to Our Amazing God \o/\o/\o/

Tractor to Grow Own Vegetables for the Hungry

The largest flood in 70 years washed out all the vegetable crops that will be food for 125 boys at Nazareth. The boys worked hard to prepare the land and all have come to naught.

The Salesian Fathers needed a walking tractor to quickly re-prepare the land in time for vegetables to grow and be harvested. We are not much of a farmer but we know the man hours saved means food can be grown more productively and less people will be hungry.

Many thanks to James, Phillies and Christina for making it possible for Project Kyrie to provide this essential tool for the poor in Myanmar to take care of themselves and grow their own food source as food prices sky rockets all over the world.

May you all be blessed abundantly for responding so generously in all ways to make this possible!

We hope you like it!

We had a wonderful time being a personal shopper for the Salesian Novices in Myanmar.
They look good don't they?
And it fits!

Project A Cup of Cereal A Day

 https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1A8GMURGXFltQbF40OMtGhUsk9G-ZWBIA

Dear Frens,

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to all who contributed and worked hard on this to make it possible.

My heart is awed at how the Holy Spirit has helped us to get this done so quickly.

In 2 days, we have been able to feed 165 needy and hungry children with a cup of hot cereal a day for more than a year! 15.7 months from Sept 2022 to Jan 2024 to be exact! 😀😊

It may be a cup of normal hot cereal to us but a cup of heaven for them.

The kids thank you for sharing what you have with them.

We are thanked by their smiles, their  hope for the future and how their faces will light up when they gain strength and feel less hungry.

God bless,

Mill

*what does love look like? It has the hands to help others. It has the feet to hasten to the poor and needy. It has the eyes to see misery and want. It has the ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of men. That is what love looks like. - St Augustine

Sister's Pocket Money Fund by Project Kyrie

In 2021, we started a small sister's money pocket fund of 300,000 kyat because we can never be there when the sisters see an immediate need to help the needy.

It could be homeless children who might need clothes or food right there and right now or tomorrow they will not be there anymore. It could also be people who are really ill who can't afford medication to see them live through another week

Such cases are abound in Myanmar. Today we have topped up another 200,000 kyat to a sister in Chanthagon to help desperate poor people who crosses her path.

The 300,000 kyat helped a lady with cancer to seek medical treatment twice ( 50,000 kyat + 50,000kyat), helped a cripple lady from chin state (100,000 kyat) and (100,000 kyat) to repair the house of a poor family. some food items and clothes were also provided to above street  boys. So much can be done with 300,000 kyat equivalent to SGD$230

Special thanks also to Teresa Chia who sponsored 11 months of intravenous food supply to a man who cannot eat anything but this intravenous food item to himself alive. A snake bite victim will also be eternally grateful for her assistance when he got bitten by a snake and needed long term treatment. The photos are too horrendous to be posted here.

To all others who have helped with medical funds for diabetes medicine, colostomy bags etc the recipients are all very thankful and grateful.

These are the small things we can do that makes a great difference to another struggling human.

Thank you all and if anyone wants to increase the Sister's Pocket Money Fund, do contact me. I can teach you how you can send your blessings via western union to Myanmar

God Bless,

Mill

Thank You Lord for Putting Everything Together for Us!

Looking back through the years, I thank God for placing in my life so many like minded friends who will at an instant reach out to help the poor together with me.

We are all bonded together as a family under Christ as we share a deep affinity to love others because we are so grateful for God's mercy and love for us.

As we ushered in Christmas in 2021 and look towards 2022, we searched for those who have little so we can all share a little of what we have with them.

Thank Lord for helping us feed at least 500 children from street kids to needy village children in Myanmar.

It was also a joy that we could share a good meal and many needed items with the boys at Hsipaw & the Nazareth House. They received new jackets for the cold weather, daily food support and internet support for 4 months Jan to April 2022.

We thank the Salesian Sisters and Priests for taking care of these children so well. We thank them for partnering us so we all have the opportunity to help the poor and to participate in the building of God's kingdom.

Last but not least, we thank the Friends of Project Kyrie for making all this possible. May your blessings  be overflowing and may you and family have more than you will ever need in 2022.

Be a friend of Project Kyrie today! \o/\o/\o/
