Partnering Beyond Services to start guitar classes for under priviledged kids

Dear Frens,
It is so inspirational especially to me when I can see God's hand in providing for the poor through us.

I was thinking when I accepted this project that it would take quite abit of time to find 10 used guitars in order to start a class. It is really good that children find themselves in music as music is not only healing but can also bring beauty into their lives and the troubles they may find themselves in.

God had other plans and when he moves everything falls into place almost in an instant. From the time I sent out my smses to the time all these guitars were bought and gifted it took less than 2 days. What's more beautiful is that every single guitar came with it's own bag, strap, tuner and pick.

We wish to thank Alice Tan for her support in paying for the guitars, June Foo for making the call to connect us with Davis Guitars and Janet and Chris from Davis Guitars who gave us a $160 guitar at a discounted $101.60 and threw in all the guitar accessories.

Without everyone's help, this class and the years of joy that many kids will have, will not have been made possible.

Also many thanks to many other friends of project kyrie who responded as soon as they received our smses. Without you and your kindness to respond to those who have little, we would not have been able to reach out to as many people as we have.

God Bless,

Celebrating a day with the under priviledged \o/\o/\o/

Dear Frens,

What better way of spending your 70th birthday but to be like Jesus and throw a feast for all.

So that's just what Paul Raj did yesterday. On his 70th birthday, he threw a feast for 250 people, guests from the handicapped home, kids from Children's home in JB, poor families from Singapore, the old, the blind, the sick..practically for all who would come.

Paul Raj has been the man on our team, working with Project Kyrie helping the poor and the needy in every which way he can for many years and his efforts for the poor started way before he even joined us to reach out to those who need our help.

Project Kyrie would like to honour him for his life of kindness to others.

We took this wonderful opportunity to bless wonderful people in difficult times with rounds of gifts lucky draw and rounds of NTUC food vouchers giveaways to bring a spark of happiness and excitement to light up their difficult situations for the day.

We would lik to thank all frens of Project Kyrie for participating in this celebration by providing all the lucky draw gifts and food vouchers from NTUC. Thank you also so much for the children's goody bags, the colouring sets and the chocolates!

We managed to put all these gifts together in 2 days before the party as we realised that it's such a gd opportunity for us to share with many who have not as much as many of us. We raised a $1,100 for food vouchers and had 18 gift wrapped lucky draw items that included a microwave, fans, rice cookers, hot water airpots and many more. Special thanks to Mark Foo, Belinda Ang,Theresa Sim, Lynette Yap, Aunt Maria, Peter Twang, Joseph Tan, Geraldine and Geeti Lian, Patrick Chan, Susie Choinh and Chia Yi.

Many Thanks also to Geeti, Augustina and Stella for volunteering their day to administer the lucky draw and to bless the poor with their company!

Last but not least 'All Glory to God' \o/\o/\o/
