Dear Frens, Thank you for everybody's help in getting this water filter into Cambodia. From point of conception, to designing, buying, packing, sponsorship of freight to setting up and prayers.
Here is a letter from Sr Ophriini on 14th October:
Dear Mill, Lyn and Friends,
Greetings from all of us: Sisters, Teachers and all the children at Don Bosco Chreh School.
We are very happy to inform you the joy you have given to these kids through your generosity and sacrifices. This school year 2006 – 2007 we have 414 children of which 169 are girls.
These kids are very eager to learn and become good children. We were able to provide all of them, uniforms, school bag, all school materials free of charge and also the daily lunch which they look forward to satisfy their hunger.
Observing their smiling and limpid eyes, our hearts swell up with gratitude to God for your contribution of love, so as to give these unfortunate kids a better future and also to realize their small yet heartfelt Dreams.
We can’t do it alone, but together we achieve much. We feel the deep joy that God’s providential LOVE and care continues through good persons like you.
The parents of the kids too bless God for this unique gift that they children could learn moral values and grow in wisdom and grace. Your special love of us makes us grow.
We wish to thank you in a special way for the water filter. We hope you could come and witness for yourself how it helps us and the children to be able to cook and drink clean purified water.
May God almighty compensate your love in the way He knows best.
The student scholars, Sok Phirom, Muong Srei Touch, So Rachana, Paing Suen, Long Pheakdey, Peng Sinath, Em Rotana, Maly Thavy, Proh Sophir and Sroh Socheat have began well their new scholastic year. They send their love and greetings too.
Love from all the Sisters.
United in prayers,
Sr. Ophriini Elizabeth FMA

Dearest Mill,
Greetings from all of us.
Hope all are fine and working for the Kingdom of God.
Well, we are very happy and are grateful for all what the good Lord has done for us and especially for the poor children at Chreh.
The water filter plant is working very well. We are still trying set up a permanent place for it and we will be working with it in the following days. We are afraid that the theives will rob the water pump or other things as Chreh is famous for robbery.
With the money that is being alloted by you, we decided to buy government water. We then pass through the filter and the children are very, very happy to drink the water. They said it is very tasty and they took it home to make their parents and others taste the water too.
We also use this filtered water to cook our food for all the children. What a wonderful blessing !!!
A big thanks from all of them too.
Give our regards to all your friends and do continue to pray for these children, that they may know the Truth, accept the Truth and live the Truth. Love from all of us, Sr. Ophriini

Dearest Friends,
Loving greetings from all of us at Don Bosco School Phum Chreh. We are happy to tell you that our scholastic year 2006 – 2007 has been very successfully.
On July 22, our school year came to a close with the solemn “Gratitude Day” to the parents. The children expressed their gratitude to their parents in songs, dances and actions. The parents enjoyed to see their children growing up well. During the report, we propose to the parents and children a renewed collaboration.
Our grade 6 students received the certificate of passing Elementary schooling from Mr. Chum Sarai, Head of Commune of Phnom Penh Thymai.
After the program, the results or the report card was given to each student. The first top five from each class was called out with their parents and Sr. Sarah handed them the report card. Everyone applauded. Some have done very well.
For quite a few, it was not pleasant as their children did not do well and thus have to repeat the class. Thus the seed sown this year was crowned with joy for many. Our new scholastic year 2007 – 2008 will commence on October 1, 2007. Till then the children enjoy their freedom and vacation.
Our sincere “Som Oukun” from all of us Sisters, teachers and children. Thank you to each and every one for the help, support, collaboration and encouragement given to us both spiritually and materially.
We still can count on your support as we continue to join hands in the education of these children. We cannot do alone, but together joining hands in this circle of LOVE can achieve great results in the lives of these poor children who have no where to go.
May God Almighty bless you and continue to direct your lives and we ask our blessed Mother Mary to help you in all your needs. I convey the grateful thanks of Sr. Sarah and of all our Sisters working hand in hand for the good of Cambodian children.
With sincere love and prayers,
Sr. Ophriini
Principal of Don Bosco School Chreh.

subjectGreetings from Chreh SchoolDearest Millicent,
Greetings from all of us Sisters, Teachers and Children of Chreh School.
Our school will close for our Khmer New Year break which falls on April 13, 14 and 15. Classes will resume on April 21. All were looking forward to have this mid-term break.
On April 4, our children celebrated our Khmer New Year in the traditional way of blessing their teachers by washing their hands with scented water and flower petals. The sisters and teachers too bless the children with Wisdom, Peace and Prosperity. Teachers then organized games and all enjoyed a lot. Our last and important part of the feast is the dancing and putting talc powder on the faces. Ah, what faces we had become!!! We then close our beautiful day with Happy New Year to each other.
On April 6, our past pupils from 2005, 2006 and 2007 too gathered together to wish each other Happy Khmer New Year. In this encounter, we invited only the past students who pursuit their studies. We were sorry to find out that some could not attend, because they had left for their native provinces. About 57 past pupils are present. The teachers then organized games for them and we all enjoyed.
We also had a heart to heart talk about their difficulties encountered in their studies, renewed their DREAMS, motive their desires and above all to serve their country.
On the whole, they were very happy to be back and they express their thanks for this type of encounter. We thank God for this day and we pray that these students may live up to their Dreams.
During these Cambodian Holy days, our sincere love to you dearest Friends of Chreh School, for your unconditional love and care for us and the children.
Thank you for helping these little hearts dream Dreams and thank you for believing in us, in sharing our Educative mission.
Above all, we believe that you are God’s Special Gift to these children. May God continue to bless you, keep you in His love and grant you prosperity and Peace.
With Love,
Sr. Ophriini

Dearest Sr Ophriini,
I am Very happy to see how the children have grown. The new phum chreh school and you sisters are really a gift from God to the children.
I remember the days when i first met them. Seeing and hearing what you have been telling us in the past year..these same kids seem to have come from 2 different worlds.
I am filled with confidence that these kids will have opportunties that they would never have had now when they grow up.
Thank God for you all Sister Ophriini..and may all glory go to our risen Lord! :)
God Bless,
Mill

Dearest Mill,
Greetings from all of us here.
Just to share with you some news about our children studying in Don Bosco Phum Chreh. On May 30, we had a beautiful celebration of our "Thank You dear Sisters and Teachers Day". The children expressed their love and thanks to their Educators in forms of dances, Action songs, skits, etc.
We then had our Thank you meal together with the Sisters, teachers and students. It was a nice family get-together day. Everyone enjoyed it.
On June 6, we then had our first ever "Sports Fest". Our Guests of Honor were the Asst. Director of the District Education Office, the other three Principals of the Primary Schools. They were very impressed by the behavior and participation of the children. The children sang the song "Together, let us join hands to reach our Star". Our guests were moved to hear them singing with all their hearts.
We had our lighting of our "Sports Light" which two students (boy & girl) carried forward. The children had their sports competitions and the first three were awarded.
After our lunch we had the group games. Volley Ball match between Mazzarello group and Laura Vicuna's group and the winner was Mazzarello group. Then the boys between Don Bosco and Domenic Savio's group in which the Don Bosco's group came out as winners.
Each group cheered loud and strong for their own group. Everyone enjoyed to the hearts content.
In the afternoon, we had our Prize giving in which Sr. Teresita our Director of the Schools, gave away the prizes. She then declared solemnly the closing of our Sports Day. Each group leader retreated their flags, hand it over to the Sports leader and the sports leader handed it over to the Principal of the school as a sign of the closure. It was very solemn and everyone felt sorry that this day has come to an end but look forward with hope for next year's sports day.
Though tired, the sisters, teachers and children had a beautiful day together like in a family where unity and love gives strength and courage. We thank God for this wonderful day.
After the great feasts, the children are back to study. Motivation to study hard for their final exams which will be held on July 7 and 8 were announced. Our grade 6 will faced their final board exams on June 24.
On June 16 and 17, our school will have their monthly exams. Our School Year 2007 – 2008 will close on July 20.
We recommend our children to your powerful prayers, so that these children may assimilate the truths and values for life.
Thank you for being part on our journey of Educating the children. We hope that you will continue to help us and share in OUR MISSION of educating this WORLD to love, hope and Joy and thus Human dignity be fully restored.
Love and thanks from all the Sisters, Teachers and children of our Chreh School.
With love,
Sr. Ophriini
